Two lucky North Texans are starting the year as millionaires after winning big in the Texas Lottery.
One of the $1 million tickets was purchased by a Dallas resident at Pleasant Grove Shell, located at 2438 S. Buckner Boulevard, while the second winner bought their ticket at an Albertsons grocery store in Colleyville, situated at 4000 Glade Road. Both winners have opted to remain anonymous, as allowed under Texas lottery rules, according to a statement from lottery officials.
The winning tickets were part of the popular games $1,000,000 Crossword and 500X, lottery representatives confirmed.
A History of Big Wins in Colleyville
This isn’t the first time Colleyville has made headlines for its lottery luck. Last year, a $95 million Texas Lotto jackpot ticket was sold at Hooked on MT, a local storefront. It was later revealed that a foreign syndicate strategically spent $26 million to purchase every possible numeric combination—a bold move that ultimately paid off.
Upcoming Lotto Texas Jackpot
The excitement doesn’t end there. The Lotto Texas jackpot, currently at an estimated $65 million, is set for its next drawing on Wednesday. This prize is tied as the 10th largest jackpot in the history of the Texas Lottery.
For aspiring winners, the Texas Lottery continues to offer the potential for life-changing prizes. Will North Texas see another jackpot winner soon?
Stay tuned—and check your tickets!
