Set within The Woodlands, construction on the Houston area property is expected to start next spring.
Hotels have been on a roll with debuting residential properties and now, The Ritz-Carlton has unveiled plans for its very first standalone residences in Texas.
Howard Hughes has teamed up with The Ritz-Carlton to open Texas’s first luxury branded development without a resort attached. The forthcoming tower will sit roughly 27 miles outside of downtown Houston within The Woodlands, Howard Hughes’s 28,500-acre master-planned community. While there’s no expected date for completion just yet, construction is slated to get underway next spring.
“We are pleased to officially announce The Ritz-Carlton as our brand partner for the private residences in The Woodlands, reflecting our enduring commitment to exceptional design and developing unique living experiences unparalleled in Houston’s real estate market,” said Jim Carman, president of the Houston Region at Howard Hughes, in a press statement.
Spread across eight acres, the homesite will offer a limited collection of residences that are inspired by the iconic estates of The Lone Star State. Expect to find high-end finishes, spacious living areas, and bespoke furnishings. In addition to the condos, The Ritz-Carlton, The Woodlands will also feature an on-site restaurant and a far-ranging array of swanky, hotel-like amenities.
Of course, the foresty enclave sports a ton of perks from retail shops and culinary attractions to entertainment offerings and a whopping 28 percent of greenspace. Previously, The Woodlands was voted the No. 1 Best Community to Live in America by Niche in 2021 and 2022.
“Howard Hughes shares our steadfast commitment to top-tier quality, incomparable design, and unparalleled service,” adds Sarah Khalifa, vice president of mixed-use development at Marriott International. “We look forward to working with them to bring this groundbreaking residential development in The Woodlands to life.”
Prices for the residences have not been released, but they are expected to set a record for The Woodlands area.
